Barlow’s Foods founder Tiffany Neal sits across from Rushion McDonald for an interview.

Small Business & Non-Profit Secrets to Success: Barlow’s Foods

Care, quality and deliciousness

Everybody loves pancakes. Tiffany Neal tapped into that universal truth to create Barlow’s Foods, which sells multiuse pancake mix and award-winning syrups. In an interview with host Rushion McDonald, Tiffany walks Walmart Business through starting Barlow’s Foods, reveals the recipe for her success and shares key insights from her years of entrepreneurism.

Being a small business means focusing on what you can control and trusting that will lead to success. For Barlow’s Foods, Tiffany says, “All we have is really our name and the quality of our products.” That’s why she still takes a hands-on approach to manufacturing her company’s offerings.

That care paid off in 2023, when her Peach Cobbler Syrup won the Grand Prize at the Flavor of Georgia food contest. “It’s one thing when you say you have the best of something, but when someone else is confirming that or vetting that for you, I think that’s just even better,” she tells Rushion.
