The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research.
About us
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Our Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter was one of seven founding chapters of the National Alzheimer's Association, headquartered in Chicago. It was started by family caregivers who came together around a common need of getting support and help for their loved ones with dementia. Since 1979, our donor-supported, nonprofit Alzheimer’s Association has provided reliable information and care consultation; created supportive services for families; increased funding for dementia research; and influenced public policy changes. Our Mission To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our Vision A world without Alzheimer's disease.®

Congrats to Ashley Snell, Sr. Director of Development at our MN-ND Chapter, on her 20-year anniversary with the Alzheimer's Association®! Over the years, Ashley has developed strong relationships with our supporters, people impacted by dementia, volunteers and staff. She has stepped in to oversee multiple Walks when needed, and brings a positive attitude to all she does to fundraise for our programs and research. She is our local historian and a creative problem-solver too. We are lucky to have her. Thank you, Ashley!

Our new MN-ND Chapter Board Members started on July 1, 2024. First, help us welcome Greg Hernandez, Vice President of Commercial Services for Boston Scientific. He sadly lost his mother to Alzheimer's in 2020. Greg is committed to helping educate and support families navigating this cruel disease. At work, he's responsible for commercial operations and enablement, bringing extensive leadership and global commercial medical technology expertise from serving in executive roles at Boston Scientific and Medtronic. Greg is married to his wife, Anna, of 18 years and lives in Edina, MN. He's the proud father of 12-year-old twins and supports his daughter, Zara, at horse shows and his son, Xavi, at soccer games. #leadership #health #dementia #alzheimers #ENDALZ #giveback #volunteer #nonprofit #Edina
