About us

American Coaster Enthusiasts, or ACE, is a non-profit organization founded in 1978. The group consists of more than 7,000 members from across the United States, Europe, and Japan. ACE is the world's largest ride enthusiast organization that prides itself in its award-winning publication, events, and preservation efforts for roller coasters around the world. ACE holds events, both national and regional at parks across the country and around the world. ACE events are usually highlighted by Exclusive Ride Time (ERT), during which the host park allows ACEers on select rides either before the park opens or after it closes. ACE also publishes two magazines, ACE News, which is a bimonthly newsletter, and RollerCoaster!, a quarterly full-color magazine. Both are included in memberships. Select regions also publish regional newsletters to inform members of news and events in their area. Preservation is also an important aspect of ACE's goals. Believing that all roller coasters are of significant historical value, the organization seeks to relocate or save historic coasters that are in danger of demolition. It is also ACE's goal to educate the public about the historic value of roller coasters and the amusement parks that house them.
