BMG Makes Broadcasting History: Pioneering the First Ever National Awards Show in a Completely Virtual Environment In July 2021, Broadcast Management Group, Inc. and the National Television Arts & Sciences joined forces to achieve a historic milestone in broadcasting with the 48th Annual Daytime Emmys. BMG produced two live Daytime Emmy Award shows, beginning with Children's Programming & Animation, shot on a fully virtual set designed by our BMG Design Team. The second show, Fiction & Lifestyles, was a hybrid production featuring both a traditional hard set and a virtual set. Using our state-of-the-art Cloud Control Center™ in Las Vegas and multi-camera REMI field packages, BMG managed over 100 remote feeds per show from locations worldwide. We seamlessly integrated audio and video transmissions between the green-screen sets and hard sets in Burbank, CA, and our hub in Las Vegas, NV. This pioneering effort not only demonstrated our technical prowess but also set a new standard for virtual event production.
