I'm hiring again! I soft-launched Engage for Good's nonprofit consulting business (corporate partnership strategy) this year, and clients have loved what we've done for them. So we're growing it by hiring a small pool (3-5) of diverse, highly successful, and passionate contractors to lead the projects. This is perfect for independent contractors, working parents, or those who have had a successful career but need flexibility and choice in what they work on. Take a look below and reach out if you have any questions!

Happy July 4th! As we celebrate our country's moment of independence, we feel deep gratitude for the veterans and service members who keep us and our nation safe. We also appreciate the tremendous efforts of those in our community who work to support them. One shining example is the 2024 Halo Award-winning partnership between CSX Pride in Service and the Wounded Warrior Project. United by a shared mission to support service members' success at home, these partners developed a drone training program that has trained 33 veterans in New York and Florida and reached over 2000 more with employment training opportunities. This campaign exemplifies a key best practice of corporate social impact: each organization understood its unique value add and brought that to the partnership table. CSX uses drones across its lines of business and has deep technical expertise in drone operations and training. WWP has expertise in designing and executing effective service-member-focused employment training programs. Together, they accomplished something neither could have done on their own - creating an innovative new employment pipeline that places wounded service members into an exponentially growing field. Thanks to everyone involved in making this program, and to all of you fighting to make our country a safer, better place for all. Happy Juneteenth! Today our country celebrates the moment when the news of emancipation reached the last enslaved African Americans. We see many wonderful individuals and companies publicly recognizing the importance of the holiday today on social media. As that happens, we believe we should all challenge ourselves by asking: How can your organization turn this one moment of public support into a movement for racial justice? A single moment of solidarity can be meaningful, but it's the continued support of allyship that makes fundamental change. For highly-resourced companies, this means executing a variety of long-term initiatives. As one example, Salesforce has multi-year commitments for racial justice across four pillars: People, Philanthropy, Purchasing, and Policy. Each year, they present an annual report that showcases their successes and challenges in these areas, providing much-needed transparency. They're here in the moment and they're doing the work. How can your organization provide long-term support for the movement for racial justice?

Happy Pride, everyone! This is a joyous and beautiful time of year! It's more important than ever that companies reaffirm their commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. Each initiative, each public statement, and each donation adds weight to the side of the scale that advocates for acceptance, love, and respect for queer individuals. And as is often the case, what's good for people is also good for businesses. A 2022 study from GLAAD and Edelment Trust showed that Americans are 2x more likely to buy a company's product if the brand supports LGBTQ+ rights. We look forward to seeing the work everyone in the Engage for Good community does this month. And we wish LGBTQ+ people and their allies a safe and empowering #Pride season that fills your community with love!

At #EFG2024, charity: water's Chief Revenue Officer, Ben Greene took the stage to accept the Halo Award for Non-Profit of the Year. Besides sharing some great advice (our favorite: "always take the call, you never know where it will lead"), Ben also gave attendees a view into the three pillars that drive charity: water's work: 100% model: 100% of public donations fund clean water projects. Proof: charity: water proves every water project with photos and GPS coordinates. Brand: reinvent charity with a beautiful brand built on hope, not guilt. This approach has led to the funding of over 150K water projects serving over 18 million people in 29 countries. Thanks for sharing your insights, Ben! And thank you to the entire team at charity: water for the life-saving work you do ending the water crisis.
