It’s Rural Road Safety Awareness Week so it’s a good time to review FHWA’s new publication, Proven Safety Countermeasures in Rural Communities. It offers 12 effective ways to address common safety issues affecting rural roadways; the countermeasures are grouped around four focus areas: roadway departure, intersections, pedestrian/bicyclist, and speed management. What’s more, it includes a desktop reference that estimates the cost range for installation and the typical life of service for each countermeasure. Download and read the publication today! #RRSAW2024 https://lnkd.in/eeQnFdh8
