In new incentive funding news, Massachusetts is significantly expanding its Fleet Advisor program, tripling its scope thanks to a $5 million boost from the American Rescue Plan Act. Key Highlights: Expanded Support: Now reaching 200 entities, the program offers assistance to a broader range of  small businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities. Growing Model: The Massachusetts Fleet Advisor concept is gaining traction, with similar programs launching in California and New Jersey. Specialized Assistance: The program provides no-cost fleet electrification assessments and procurement support, addressing the unique challenges of fleet conversion. Environmental Focus: Half of the funding targets environmental justice neighborhoods, aiming to reduce air pollution in underserved areas. Given that transportation accounts for 37% of Massachusetts' greenhouse emissions, this program is a vital component of the state's strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Governor Hochul Announces $32 Million for Electric Transportation Solutions 🚛 ⚡ Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a $32 million investment to advance shared electric transportation solutions in New York through the new Clean Mobility Program. The program, administered by NYSERDA, aims to reduce emissions and improve connectivity, prioritizing disadvantaged communities. Key Highlights- Funding Tracks: Planning Track: Up to $100,000 for community engagement, site identification, and feasibility analysis. Demonstration Track: Up to $3 million for implementing sustainable mobility services. Eligible Projects: Include shared bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters, on-demand electric ride-hailing, and small-scale public transit services.
