    Green Spoon is hiring for a Key Account Manager - Portland / Eugene, OR! Read on if you are interested in joining the best-in-class >> Green Spoon Team! Responsibilities: - Develop and strengthen relationships with assigned Key Accounts and their category managers as well as Distributors (UNFI / KeHE, etc.) - Develop positive and trusting relationships with all principals. Address concerns and resolve issues in an efficient and respectful manner. - Work with the team to continuously improve effectiveness and productivity. - Be proactive in supporting retailers, distributors with store openings, distributor tabletops, Expo, etc. - Develop and recommend strategic / sound promotional plans for key principals. - Be aware and report on efforts by competitors of our principals including new items, pricing, packaging, etc.  - Collaborate with the Green Spoon leadership team to generate ideas for growing our principals’ business and make suggestions for improvement. - Includes strategic discussion on handling Supermarket / Conventional business as the convergence of two channels continues. - Attend and participate in all team meetings. *Leadership reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to as needed to ensure alignment with overarching department goals. Measurable Objectives: - Present and receive buyer approvals for new lines / SKUs at assigned key accounts. - Develop and work closely with UNFI / KeHE representatives of assigned accounts. - Secure prime placement in planograms. - Prepare and submit New Items Forms, Distributor and Retail Promotions, etc. - Secure key retailer appointments for our principals. - Attend retailer meetings with principals and collaborate on all paperwork and reporting. - Manage and oversee category review calendars that pertain to our principals. Qualifications: - The ideal candidate will be located in Eugene, OR or the surrounding area. - A college degree strongly preferred. - Organic and natural experience preferred. Requirements: - 3-5 years experience of natural channel account management preferred - Positive attitude - Great attention to detail - Proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint - Excellent time management skills - Ability to multi-task - Interest in organic food and products - Must own a smart phone and computer to perform duties - Green Spoon supplies Microsoft Office Suite Full-time, salary with strong benefits package.     I want to take a moment to shoutout the mighty Green Spoon Team! This crew has been hustling HARD! These past couple weeks the team has traveled from near & far to support our partners at the UNFI & KeHE Distributors Holiday Shows (where Green Spoon was again a proud Sponsor)! Hearing so many positive comments coming from all different folks at the show, I am beaming with pride. It has been inspiring to see how far the team has come over the past 13+ years! My husband and I started Green Spoon with a few $10.00 bills and a strong desire to change the service side of the industry. With his extensive experience in retail buying, store management, broker work, leading sales for manufacturers to my experience with brand marketing and merchandising, we just knew there was a different way to support retailers & the innovative brands coming into the space. We also wanted to create an environment where good folks that love the natural lifestyle as much as we did, could be part of a culture where they are supported, cared for and could make a difference! Read on if you are interested in joining an incredible team of natural foodies ✨ Responsibilities: - Provide admin support to the Sprouts National Team by owning the management of essential brand documents and materials for the team.  - Promotional contract maintenance, ownership of deal management systems (DemandTec) - Drafting all deals and EDLPs contracts - Completing audits on promotional and new item submissions - Connecting with Brands to secure approvals, conducting monthly TPR/EDLP compliance audits - Maintenance of planner/commitment forms. - Attend planning meetings with Sprouts Key Account Managers (KAM’s) (Promotional support) - Work with INMAR & Sprouts Shopper Marketing Team to create marketing opportunities for our Brands.  - Maintain SharePoint site for the Sprouts team.     I want to take a moment on this #EarthDay2024 and give a heartfelt shout-out to our amazing Green Spoon Sales team. I have been reflecting this morning on all the Green Spoon community has done and the impact they are making! When I came to them all at the beginning of 2023 to announce that we were making the move to become a 1% for the Planet company, they cheered! When I also announced we were going to be the first company in 1% to require our team to complete a certain number of hours a year volunteering with 1% non-profits, they rallied. I felt strongly that as part of our company mission, we could not make this optional. With the state that our natural environment is in, we NEED to take action! I also felt getting our team out into the woods, on the rivers, and in nature was good for the mind, body, and spirit. This crew delivered and is going strong! Not only did they have the most hours volunteering in 2023 than any other 1% company, but they built friendships, supported their local communities, and most of all, they made a difference! Today, I have the honor of contacting the 5 organizations our 200+ team members voted to donate over $100,000.00 to! We are proud to support the important efforts that Save The Waves Coalition, Save the Bee, Just Roots Chicago, Save The Redwoods League and the Wild Salmon Center are doing every single day to fight the good fight! Thank you, Team Green Spoon, for all you do to support natural products, support our Earth, and support each other! I am honored and proud to be part of this community.     Senior Manager - UpNext Program at United Natural Foods

    To build a community, you need to meet people where they are. Last week, UpNext went west for a bootcamp event hosted by our friends at Green Spoon Sales. This two day event was an incredible and intimate gathering of UNFI, third party partners, and of course, our emerging brands. Friendships were formed and partnerships were strengthened. I am confident that every single person that walked away from this event left feeling more supported. I know that I did. As I reflected on my experience in Boulder on the flight home, I realized what made this event so satisfying. This bootcamp was designed to answer the questions of our founders, and yet, in nearly all conversations I was a part of or overheard, the throughline from these brands was “How can I help you?”. Founders supporting founders. Founders supporting partners. Partners supporting founders. It’s a beautiful thing. Every day I get the privilege of seeing what’s next in food, and I’m here to report, the future is very bright!
