  • Come join MM-SEAS USCG Licensing Software at the Washington Maritime Blue Ventures Showcase in Seattle on Friday, June 7th!  We’re thrilled to be part of the showcase and present as an alumni celebrating the ongoing achievements of our MM-SEAS USCG Licensing Software team. We’re even more excited to announce our team’s next major pain point to solve for professional mariners: the frustration and errors associated with the sea service letter process. Our conversations with mariners consistently reveal that timely and accurate sea service documentation ranks alongside pay, food, and benefits in terms of importance. It's clear this is a critical issue! Here's the flip side: Port and Vessel Operations teams are drowning in complexity. Managing COI requirements for 17+ boats, generating letters from payroll exports, and then manually calculating everything for a single letter? There's got to be a better way. Our mission is to streamline sea service tracking and letter generation – we will use our sea service tracking and CG-719S for generating products we’ve developed for recreational boaters to make sea service tracking and letter generation as simple as our USCG licensing application process inside of our software. Imagine mariners effortlessly tracking their progress towards their next license, with accurate paperwork generated in seconds. Calling all PNW professionals! Are you involved in managing sea time tracking or creating sea service letters? We’d love to connect at the showcase and learn more about your current processes. Together, let's explore how MM-SEAS can empower your team and support your employees' professional development. See you in Seattle! #MaritimeBlueVentures #SeaServiceLetters #USCGMariners #SimplifySeaTime P.S. Feel free to share your sea service challenges in the comments below!

  • Heads up! Beginning on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, the USCG is no longer accepting drug test results certificates in the format that most clinics are providing to mariners. We've complied some helpful tips so that you get the right information on your DOT 5 Panel USCG drug test. It is now a requirement that the address of the SAMHSA-approved lab that processed the results is printed on the results certificate you get signed by an MRO. Most drug testing companies are only printing the address where the test was performed (the clinic you walked into) on the results certificate. This is no longer sufficient. https://lnkd.in/ekejzdiw

  • We're dropping our normal pricing down to just $10 plus the USCG evaluation and issuance fees for entry level MMCs to make sure that anyone who wants to enter the maritime industry has the support they need. We've customized our software with a new program that is dedicated to supporting entry level mariners getting their first MMC. We will continue to provide the same support for all USCG licenses and STCW endorsements in the US at full price. With the USCG National Maritime Center getting slower and the need for professional mariners increasing in the US, the MM-SEAS USCG Licensing Software team decided to try and do something about it. The best way we could think of helping speed things up at the NMC and create more mariners, was by offering our perfect applications at less than the cost of a beer in most cities these days. #maritimeindustry #innovation #workforcedevelopment

This summer, we're all about embracing the joy of boating and soaking up the sun. 🌞🚤 We've also been working hard on new features to make filling our your sea service forms super easy! But first, let's clarify what truly counts as a "sea day" – it's not just any boat outing! For boats under 200 GRT, you need at least 4 hours of underway time to log it as a "day," whether it's a continuous journey or multiple short trips. Remember, MM-SEAS makes tracking your sea days easy and can help you generate the necessary Small Vessel Sea Service Form (CG-719S) for your captain's license application. So, whether you're on Lake Michigan like our Head of Customer Success Sarah Hirsch (pictured) or exploring waters elsewhere, let's seize this summer both on and off the water! #maritimeindustry #maritime

  • Thank you to our friends at Sea Magazine for their write up on our new Sea Service Form Generator! "Turning your time on the water into official documentation used to be a chore as arduous as battling a storm. But MM-SEAS has tossed that old model overboard, offering the technology to create and store digital sea service letters. It's a revolution, a liberation of the process, enabling you to focus on what really matters: the call of the sea." We couldn't agree more! ✅ The new tool lets anyone create the USCG approved CG-719S sea service form for the owner, captain or owner's representative of a boat they have been sailing on to sign. ✅ Boaters who have earned sea time on other people’s vessels now have an easy way to credit that time towards their Captains license sea time requirements. ✅ Owners, captains or owner’s representatives can verify and update the CG-719S sea service forms sent to them before they sign them easily. https://lnkd.in/eeWHjVn2 #maritime #maritimeindustry
