Packaging Program at Virginia Tech

I am excited to share this video from VT News with you all, which sheds some light on the project that I have been involved in for the past nine months. I am so grateful to be contributing to such a wonderful multidisciplinary project. My research is focused on improving the thermal stability of PHA through the application of novel inclusion complex technologies, with the goal of diversifying the range of potential applications of the bioplastic for the packaging sector. https://lnkd.in/efR2d9xg

I had a great time this weekend At Wisconsin Stout University for my last Pack Jam! It was great meeting all the other packaging students and packaging professionals. A huge shout out to all the Packaging Blue Devils for throwing a great Pack Jam! And winning the Pack Jam Competition two years in a row is a great way to close out my senior year! This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a tour for the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials from Virginia Tech at our Headquarters in Winchester, Virginia. Monoflo and Virginia Tech — particularly the Packaging Program at Virginia Tech, the Center for Packaging and Unit Load Design, and the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials (SBIO @ Virginia Tech) — have a tremendous working relationship. Many of our most talented, driven, and tenured team members have come thought the Virginia Tech pipeline. Ben Waterman, Director of Business Development, led the group through our production facility as they witnessed Monoflo’s cutting-edge, fully-automated manufacturing processes in action. The tour also showcased our industry-leading suitability practices, including how we close the loop for customers by incorporating recycled resin from end-of-life products into the manufacture of new, superior-quality containers, trays, and pallets. Team Monoflo takes great pride in opening our doors to provide hands-on learning experiences for the next generation of American manufacturing! 🇺🇸
