Little Sega's cries didn't just echo through the neighborhood; they led to his rescue. 🐈 A Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) staff member, living nearby and off-duty, was told about the kitten and managed to coordinate with neighbors to save him. Sega was brought back to PAWS, but he didn’t have to wait long to find his loving home. Within just 4 days of being at the rescue, adopters, Dylan and Tanner, decided to make Sega their own. During the conference, we hosted the Industry Newcomer Meetup with KONG Company to celebrate and connect with new members of the animal welfare industry. In September 2023, our team visited the Westlaco Shelter in Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where they met Sandy and fostered her for the night. Little did they know that one night would be the start of an amazing journey to find Sandy her loving home. 🐾 Sandy spent multiple nights bonding with our team and traveling across state lines as they worked to find her a new beginning. Rory, our Senior Manager of Adoption Initiatives, began fostering her, and soon, other team members stepped in to help Sandy on her journey to adoption. Now, Sandy's days are filled with love and family, thanks to the dedication of our team and the kindness of those she met along the way. ❤️
