In Higher Education Today's recent article, The Steve Fund is highlighted for its role in supporting mental health initiatives for students of color at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Steve Fund emphasizes the need for specialized resources and programs tailored to the experiences of students of color, helping to bridge gaps in mental health services. While diving into the mental health challenges faced by students at HBCUs, researchers at UNCF and The Steve Fund provide five key recommendations to prioritize mental health on campus including the mental health conference in which students at HBCUs and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) were empowered to think about methods to improve mental health, organized by UNCF and The Steve Fund.
