A recent study led by Winship researcher Anant Madabhushi, PhD, and published in The Lancet Digital Health, reveals a new AI-based computational pathology tool designed to better manage treatment for patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of pre-invasive breast cancer. Congrats to Winship medical oncologist Jane L. Meisel, MD, who has been named co-director of breast medical oncology for Emory School of Medicine’s Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Meisel will be responsible for coordinating the Glenn Family Breast Center’s clinical strategy and supporting the standardization of breast cancer care across Winship’s locations.
