Director of Infrastructure - CLOUD

Job Description:

Phoenix Proconnect is collaborating with a leading global company in their quest for a Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations. This pivotal role reports directly to the CIO and is instrumental in shaping and managing the organization's IT infrastructure and operations on a global scale. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of approximately 100+ professionals abroad, ensuring the seamless functioning of both on-premises systems and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, oversee, design, and manage the organization's IT infrastructure and operations, including on-premises systems and cloud-based solutions.
• Directly report to the CIO and collaborate closely to align IT strategies with business objectives.
• Manage and lead a team of approximately 100+ professionals abroad, ensuring high performance, productivity, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and execute the strategic direction, architecture, planning, deployment, and optimization of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure to support the organization's goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT infrastructure requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures related to infrastructure and operations.
• Manage relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with experience managing large teams.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including design, implementation, and optimization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a large team.
• Ability to travel abroad as needed to manage and support the global team and operations.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCSP, ITIL Master, CCNA).
• Experience in leading IT transformations, migrations, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in leading cloud migration projects or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency in implementing DevOps practices and cloud-native technologies.
