The ISU Startup Factory Entrepreneur in Residence will serve as a member of the teaching team and will work collaboratively with the director of the ISU Startup Factory and the director of the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship.
The Individual In This Role Will
Provide general guidance to all incubator participants, ensuring that the curriculum meets their needs.
Assist the Startup Factory director in facilitating and delivering content.
Work one-on-one with participants to guide them through the program.
Facilitate industry and professional connections for the cohort members on behalf of the program.

Attend Tuesday (10-12 CST) and Thursday (9-10 CST) sessions during the Startup Factory cohort program period (two cohorts per year).
Attend in-person networking and “Demo Day” events as availability allows.
Independently and directly mentor cohort founders/teams outside of scheduled class sessions (virtually or in person).
Contribute, on average, 8 hours per week attending sessions and mentoring cohort members, with hours not to exceed 416 during the course of the contract year.
The EIR will be compensated at an agreed-upon hourly rate for hours recorded with no benefits or vacation; however, the EIR has the flexibility to work as available and during active program periods or as requested by the Startup Factory director and program manager.
This is a fixed term appointment with the opportunity of renewal.
