Finance and Accounting Manager

BodyHealth is a lifestyle nutritional supplement brand based in Dunedin Florida.

For three years running, we have made it onto the Inc 5000. We have moved into a larger facility to house our growing operations and team and now, only a year later, we need an even larger facility. We have broken into the retail channel and are getting our products onto store shelves all over the US in 2022 and 2023 and our eCommerce presence has increased in revenue by 3x. These are just some of the exciting successes we have had, and we are not stopping.

To support our growth in multiple channels, we need an experienced and talented Accounting Manager with experience handling the accounting needs of an eCommerce business. This person would lead the Accounting team to help us to establish a scalable and strong Accounting department that will be able to support BodyHealth through the next several years of growth.

WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO

This role reports directly to the Controller.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Accounting Operations:

• Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure that the company's records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
• Oversee the integration of innovative technologies or systems to enhance operations and data accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency by driving automated processes throughout AR and AP.
• Work closely with the supply chain and fulfillment departments to streamline processes for the purchase of inventory and the scalability of inventory.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support budgeting and financial forecasting processes, working closely with leadership to establish realistic planning for the Accounting department.
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.

Audit and Tax:

• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and assess any changes necessary.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance with federal, state, corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Coordinate, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to achieve department goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and professional development within the finance team.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or related field; CPA or CMA highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience working for an eCommerce business is vital.
• In-dept knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial data analysis.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial model development.
• Experience with NetSuite and Oracle products is highly preferable as well.
• Excellent communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate complex information to simple and digestible language.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Suite, particularly excel.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of accomplishment of leading and developing accounting teams.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary of $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and CPA certification.
