We are seeking a friendly and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent at our Arlo Chicago location. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and creating a positive first impression of our hotel. This is a full-time, hourly position in Chicago, Illinois's hospitality/restaurant industry.
Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities
Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our hotel
Check-in and check-out guests efficiently and accurately, adhering to all hotel procedures
Handle all guest requests and inquiries promptly and professionally
Assist with reservations and ensure accurate billing and payment processing
Maintain an organized and clean front desk area at all times
Assist with maintaining and updating guest records and room availability
Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
Ensure all guests are informed about hotel amenities, services, and promotions
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely
Collaborate with other hotel departments to provide exceptional service to guests
Attend all meetings and training sessions as required
Handle and resolve guest complaints in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
Knowledge of hotel software and systems such as Opera or Fidelio is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds
Must have knowledge of local attractions and restaurants
Fluent in English, bilingualism is an asset
