The IT Vendor Manager is responsible for managing the contract life cycle, which includes changes, modifications, and enforcement of performance clauses by setting vendor/service provider performance direction and priorities, and preparing new SLAs as required. The position acts as the key contact and subject-matter expert for all contract-related activities and provides review and direction for vendor activities, ensuring that the vendor's performance meets expectations. This position also assesses internal customer satisfaction levels with selected vendors, and continuously guides service activities to maintain and enhance the gains achieved through corrective actions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a structured vendor performance management framework to implement consistency across the IT vendor portfolio.
  • Establish contract management objectives, procedures, templates, and workflow processes for IT vendor contracts and deliverable schedules.
  • Establish and communicate clear and concise vendor performance management metrics by creating effective vendor management scorecards and dashboards. Vendor scorecards should include assessments of performance, contract, relationship, and risk against objectives, outcomes, measures, and targets.
  • Manage contract review meetings to ensure delivery against objectives and contract budgets. Develop regular reports on contract milestones, execution, and risk.
  • Demonstrate a clear line of sight from business objectives to vendor performance management metrics when creating reports.
  • Effectively communicate a clear and concise contract overview (summary of key contract terms, risks, opportunities, and service delivery guidelines) to key stakeholders, and provide clarity on contract elements when required.
  • Work alongside IT colleagues to assist with developing statements of work (SOWs) and understand any current requests for information (RFIs), requests for quotation (RFQs), and requests for proposal (RFPs) that are in the pipeline.
  • Engage the business units to understand the vendor's effectiveness in meeting business needs.
  • Ensure that vendors perform root-cause analysis for failed performance metrics and that corrective actions are implemented, and resolve performance issues.
  • Ensure that vendors' continuous improvement activities across all services are being performed and monitor the corrective action process.
  • Assist in planning and maintaining IT roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences/Information Technologies, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience with managing contract life cycles, with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreements.
  • Three to five years in IT service delivery, IT contract management, or general vendor management.
  • Experience in managing large complex contracts in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, service, and communication.
  • Knowledge of contracting trends, licensing models, and traditional and emerging contract and vendor performance models.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience desired, but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills are required, particularly, an understanding of basic statistics and a proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in data analytics and data visualization tools such as PowerBI is preferred.

Pay Range

$77,437.00 - $109,380.25 Annual
