Community Choice, Incorporated is seeking a Program Director. Community Choice provides residential and other services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Austin, through both the HCS and ICF programs. We are looking for a Program Director to help oversee the provision of services to ensure the continued quality of care for people served and their families.


Job Description

The Program Director will:

  • serve in a leadership role promoting the overall mission of the organization.
  • provide organization and follow up support to both professional and front line staff.
  • assist with hiring and management of both professional and front line staff.
  • make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, corrective action, and terminations.
  • manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
  • Assure that all staff meet regulatory and organizational requirements for their position and have received appropriate training.
  • coordinate, investigate, and resolve staff grievances and/or complaints, with assistance from executive team as needed.
  • work with professional staff to ensure individuals' needs are addressed.
  • coordinate with case managers to ensure that consumers/family complaints and concerns are properly investigated and resolved.
  • be available to respond to emergency calls in a timely and reasonable manner.
  • cooperate with state agency representatives, including, but not limited to, state surveyors and DFPS investigators.


Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years knowledge of Programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Skilled in the operation of computers and applicable software.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize a variety of assignments.
  • Must have the ability to deal tactfully with others, exercise good judgement, effectively communicate and express ideas in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
