SUMMARY:

Macdonald & Co. is partnered with a growing real estate investment firm, to appoint a Development Manager in Nashville, TN.


The Development Manager will oversee commercial, residential and mixed use real estate projects from initial feasibility studies through to final completion. The Development Manager will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in commercial real estate development or construction, be detail-oriented, and excel in communication and presentation with both internal and external stakeholders.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the entire development process for commercial real estate projects, from initial feasibility to final completion.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure project scope aligns with budget and timeline goals.
  • Liaise with local authorities during the entitlement process.
  • Coordinate project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, lenders, attorneys, partners, and principals.
  • Provide clear and effective updates to principal and senior management.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies for potential projects, in collaboration with the acquisitions team.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, or a business-related field and at least 3+years of work experience in real estate, construction, or engineering.
  • Proficiency in analyzing construction and engineering plans, identifying inefficiencies.
  • Experience in financial modeling and a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Excellent research skills, crucial for assisting in feasibility studies across various markets.
  • Strong time management and project management abilities.
  • Adaptable professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and adeptly adjusts strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex development projects, completing them on time and within budget.
