Provides security and administrative support to direct funded programs with unique security requirements, which are more stringent than those security requirements normally applied to DoD in the interest of National Security.
Supports sponsor's unique classified technical needs and assists in application of risk management and implementation of relevant security measures to ensure national security.
Implements unique security requirements related to information security, physical security, personnel security, industrial security, operations security, communications security, monitoring and inspections while assisting the program to meet its mission.
Under the direction and guidance of a Supervisory or Department Level Security Specialist: provide daily administrative security assistance in a wide range of security functional areas to include information security (INFOSEC), physical security (PHYSEC), personnel security (PERSEC) and general security administration.
Responsible for providing security administrative assistance to include: Greeting customers, Employee Checkouts, Providing directions and maps to customers, travel orders, conference room scheduling, visitor control (visit request preparation and personnel escorting), clearance verifications, area access (Velocity), establishing and maintaining authorized personnel rosters, material shipment preparation, and assisting with certification management of newly established and existing certified secure rooms, vaults, Controlled Area Access (CAA) and/or Restricted Area Access (RAA) for the division.
