What will it take to ensure everyone has quality, timely access to healthcare – when and where they need it? Here are some key takeaways from #HLTHEurope: ✅ AI-enabled healthcare innovation Betsabeh Madani-Hermann said the power lies in improving decision making by measuring what is hard for humans: “Gen AI can help us by measuring and predicting health outcomes that as humans we were unable to do before. Truly personalized health assessments, make for better healthcare decisions.” ✅ Reducing healthcare’s carbon footprint Robert Metzke discussed specific strategies to make healthcare more sustainable: “90% of health leaders see climate change as crucial. It’s great to see how care providers around the world are stepping up and getting organized to better integrate sustainability into their clinical workflows.” ✅ Improving maternal and women’s health Astrid Meisner emphasized how private and public partnerships can boost access to care: “We’ve seen a lack of research, clinical studies and investment in women’s health in the past. This is where Philips and our partners can help make a difference to ensure earlier diagnosis and access to health support, especially during pregnancy.” ✅ Unveiling the 2024 Future Health Index global insights Shez Partovi was joined by Chiara Bucciarelli-Ducci, a cardiologist, and Marlies Schijven, a surgeon, to explore the 2024 Future Health Index global findings. The panel explored the most pressing challenges #healthcareleaders face – staffing, data overload and sustainability - and highlighted solutions to overcome them.
