THE STATE OF CFO COMPENSATION IN AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE: INSIGHTS FROM A RECENT SALARY SURVEY The compensation of Chief Financial Officers within the Aerospace and Defense sector is a critical aspect that defines not only the competitive edge of firms but also their capacity to attract and retain top-tier talent. A recent salary survey by Raw Selection focused on this niche, particularly within Private Equity-backed companies in the U.S. The findings shed light on the remuneration landscape across three revenue categories: up to $50 million, $50 million to $150 million, and over $150 million. Here’s a deep dive into the insights gleaned from the survey and what they signify for both CFOs and hiring entities in this industry. Compensation in Companies with Revenue Up to $50 Million For companies generating up to $50 million in revenue, CFO salaries exhibited a wide range. The lowest reported salary was $100,000, while the highest reached $320,000. This variance reflects the diversity of roles and responsibilities that CFOs might shoulder within this revenue bracket. MIM intends to deploy $250 million into new opportunities, expanding its Private Equity footprint following strong portfolio performance. 📍The secondaries market in Private Equity anticipates significant growth driven by GP-led continuation funds and increased deal activity. Managers foresee expanded fundraising and deal flow, particularly in alternative assets like real estate and private credit. GP-led deals are expected to dominate, supporting liquidity and value realization for LPs through single- and multi-asset funds.
