Where some of the things on this list sit are not surprising at all, but some of them are a bit shocking how low they rank compared to other things. I'm surprised to see "Meaningful Work" rated higher than healthy culture, health insurance, or even having good colleagues. Maybe some of the things on this list are just assumed will be good if the things higher on the list are a present within an organization. It's hard to imagine for example a company where you have good work-life balance, healthy culture, meaningful work, but you don't have 401k, health insurance, or good colleagues.

This research should spark some pretty interesting discussions, IMO. One of our guest speakers presented that only 15% of a particular sector's jobs are truly 100% Remote, so that doesn't tend line up with what most people are seeking/expecting. I'm surprised the polling found only 32% value career advancement the most, and 35% value 401(k) the most - are we becoming a society of immediate gratification/short-term views?

Thanks. that's enlightening that working from home ranks higher than salary these days.

I would rather have a work/life balance job then a 100% remote. Having coworkers around you is good for your social health. When it comes to promotions, out of sight out of mind.
