PwC’s 2023 Elijah Watt Sells Award Recipients

The Elijah Watt Sells (EWS) Award, established in 1923 by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), recognizes outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA exam. This award honors individuals who pass and score 95.5 across all four sections of the CPA exam on their first attempt.

In 2023, more than 86,000 people sat for the CPA exam, with only 40 candidates meeting the award criteria. Of the recipients of the EWS Award, PwC US is proud to celebrate its four honorees, 10% of the awardees. This is a clear reflection of the caliber of our talent and the firm’s commitment to excellence in the accounting profession.

The Elijah Watt Sells Award is one of the most prestigious and competitive awards in the accounting field.

PwC US’s four recipients demonstrate our talent and the firm’s commitment to excellence. PwC continues to establish itself as an employer of choice, and our EWS Award recipients are testament to the talent of our accountants and excitement for the future of the CPA profession.

Congratulations to PwC US’s recipients of the 2023 Elijah Watt Sells Award:

Julian Chase (Trust Solutions - Boston)
Michelle Lin (Consulting Solutions - Chicago)
Vineet Kotak (Trust Solutions - Philadelphia)
Joshua Kritzer (Trust Solutions - Chicago)
