PwC prepares for a week-long firmwide shutdown this July

As part of our ongoing commitment to well-being, we’re looking forward to our next firmwide shutdown in the US from July 1-5. Since 2003, we’ve provided week-long firmwide shutdowns to our people in December and added an additional week-long shutdown in July 2022.

Check out how our people have spent their time during past firmwide shutdowns:

“This summer I took advantage of the firmwide shutdown to cross off a bucket list destination by visiting the alps. Spanning 11 days and 3 countries, our group hiked to some of the most spectacular vistas in the world. We took on the most challenging hike, the Hörnli Hut on the Matterhorn (which is 10,700 feet up!). I am incredibly thankful to have had the ability and resources to embark on this trip, and for being given the time to refresh and re-energize for my return to work.”

“I got to knock a long-standing item off my to-do list: a "cooking intensive" with my mom! She taught me how to make some of my favorite Indian dishes...the ones that never quite taste the same as hers when I attempt them on my own. A few lessons were Goan Chicken Curry, Sautéed Sprouted Moong and Chicken Liver.”

I had the chance to travel to the Philippines to participate in my elementary school's year-end ceremonies as a guest speaker. Along with that, I had the opportunity to discover Boracay and El Nido, and I appreciate the time to take a break, reflect, and recharge and give back to my community.”

“My fiancé and I used the shutdown as an opportunity to travel to Banff National Park and Jasper National Park in Canada to celebrate our recent engagement! One of our most special moments was going on a sunrise hike at Moraine Lake in Banff!”
