Make Money Matters While Traveling Safer and More Convenient

For me, WISE has completely changed how I manage and use foreign currency when I travel.

For contactless purchases, my phone is my wallet so nobody knows where my physical wallet and money are so that’s a security feature for me.

I easily transfer and convert between my bank account at home and my various WISE currency accounts on my phone and that’s really convenient.

Much better than Paypal

Far, far better than Paypal. I'm not even sure why people keep using Paypal, when there's Wise. 100% recommended. The only part I dislike is the time it takes for international payments (it's not accurately displayed).

Hey Ani,

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a 4-star review 💚 Your feedback motivates us to continue providing exceptional service to all our customers!

Fast transfers are what we’re here for, but delays do happen for different reasons. It could be because the transfer was set up closer to the weekend/holidays, or because we needed to carry extra checks. You can read about it here: https://wi.se/howlongdotransferstake.

If you sent money via Swift, for example, these payments usually take 1–6 working days to reach their destination, however it is possible that they can take longer due to time differences between the sending and receiving country, or multiple intermediary banks involved with delivering your money to us. This is out of our control.

With that said, we’ll always keep you updated on the progress of your transfers. You can view more details in your account, too. Here’s how:

- Log in to your account
- Go to Home to see your activity list
- Select the transfer you want to track

If this doesn't help, or if you have questions about your transfers, you can always reach out to us at https://wi.se/contactus or on X, Facebook, or Instagram with your membership and transfer number.

We're here for you and your money!

Refreshingly Dependable

I rarely use Wise, so it is a pleasant surprise to find it always reliable. Other banks and financial instruments need constant oiling and fussing over, they are constantly milking my account for fees and charges, they regularly try to sell new products (that no-one ever wants), and they are always changing something, but Wise just keep it straight and simple. Refreshingly dependable.

Wise - great for speedy banking transactions

I use Wise all of the time. I have a personal account and a business account. When I travel I can use the card to pay in a different currency.

Transfers between currencies are cost effective, and transactions are handled very quickly and efficiently.

The app is user-friendly and so easy to use.

super!

I'm already a client of WISE for more than 7 years and my experience - The Best of the best! Revolut is 10 times worst, I got there card 5 years ago and spent 1 year to cancel it because at the moment you can't login to your mobile app you can't reach them.
Wise customer's service is the best service in the world. Always answer momentarily on any language. Excellent job, guys!

My personal life and business life runs on Wise

My personal life and business life runs on Wise - it's a great product when you need to deal with multiple currencies. Sending money to India in seconds at good value rates is such a difference from when I was doing it before Wise.

Fantastic - never going back to normal banking

We signed up to Wise a few years ago when we were moving countries and we couldn’t open a normal bank account. We liked it so much that we decided not to go back to a normal bank. Wise makes everything easy and transparent, the fees are incredibly reasonable and the exchange rates are great! I was floored when Wise actually put money in my account to refund some fees!

A valuable asset home and abroad

Wise has always been a cheap and effective way to send money abroad, but now I have a Wise card, the benefits of that low conversation rate, and the ease in which I can top up, pay home or abroad, or return unused holiday finances to my bank account, have proven incredibly useful. I thoroughly recommend owning one, especially if you like to travel.

Good UI/UX, trustful, always evolving.

Great and simple UI, expectations vs reality is more than great, trustful and friendly service. I also enjoyed seeing evolution of services: faster execution of transfers, always good rates and fees.

They have the worst support team

They have the worst support team, who does not care about solving a problem, but rather focuses on accepting questions. They don't seem to be having control over the system, as they asked me stupid questions for which they should have had the answer internally. On the verge of changing to another provider.

Excellent way of withdraw money

We saved a lot of money with this card, which gave the exchange rate very close to the official rate. Just make sure your money is available in the currency you want to withdraw. For example, to withdraw in euros you first convert your money to euros and then withdraw. The ATM will ask and suggest their exchange rate and you MUST decline it. After you have done that, voila, the machine will dispense the money.

They literally closed my account down…

They literally closed my account down for no reason, after I had topped it up to convert to JPY for my holiday in a few weeks. They closed my account I tried to appeal and they still declined this and only gave me a partial refund even after I’ve not used the card once! Don’t use this scam company they used to be called transferwise. Had to change their name for scamming! Also lost the additional £7 for receiving a card I never used!

Hello Adham,

We understand having your account closed is frustrating but deactivating accounts isn't something we take lightly. It's often a result of a conflict with our Terms of Service or Customer Agreement, or due to a discrepancy with a financial law.
We can't share the exact reason for the deactivation, due to how we're regulated. However, you can find some possible reasons here: https://wi.se/accountdeactivation

If you are unhappy with this decision or have money left in your Wise account, you can always submit an appeal and request a refund using this link: https://wi.se/appeal

If you did this and only received a partial refund, please note that if you have any pending payments, we cancel them and we refund all the money you sent in the same way we received it — to the original senders' accounts.

If it's not your case, we'll need to take a closer look at your refund and account so please we’d love it if you could get back in touch at: https://wi.se/directcontactus

Paycheck transferred from U.S. bank account to Irish account

The currency exchange rate along with the service fee is fair. I generally receive my money, transferred from my U.S. bank account, into my Irish bank account within a few hours.

Hey Garry,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We also appreciate the 4-star review 😍

Fast transfers is our goal! We're also convenient and transparent with our fees. We understand nobody enjoys price changes, and we do our best to keep our fees low as possible.

And for that, we've created our cool fee calculator here: https://wise.com/price-change/send-money which you can use to find out how much your next transfer or conversion will cost.

With Wise, you can convert between currencies in your account in seconds. And you’ll always get the mid-market rate.

If you ever need any help, we're here for you. Just get in touch at https://wi.se/contactus or on X, Facebook, or Instagram.

Regular Transfer

We (our family) make a regular payment to my daughter-in-law who lives in Thailand. The payment is normally made within seconds and the rate is always the best.

No luck

Hi there, for some reason Wise would not let me use my debit card or credit card, so I tried directly connecting to my bank account, and still, although it said everything was on point, no transfer was ever made. So I gave up and went over to PayPal to send $$ to Australia.

Hey Vicky,

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

There can be a lot of reasons that your card was declined, and you can find some of them here - https://wi.se/unsuccessfulcardpayments, and explanation on how to resolve them.

If you're still having issues using your card, you can try using a different payment method, such as a bank transfer. You can find more info on this here: https://wi.se/payingbybanktransfer

We would love to continue this conversation on https://wi.se/contactus or on X, Facebook, or Instagram, so don't hesitate to reach out to us.
