Coffee Chats are back for this year's ACES virtual conference. Coffee Chats will be 30-minute small group discussions of eight people including a Table Host. They will be held within the conference app, Whova, via their Round Table option. Coffee chats are scheduled between educational sessions each day of the conference.
This is an excellent opportunity to connect with editors within your specialty and share new perspectives to further your professional development.
Each table group of eight will focus on the topic they signed up for during the registration process and share, connect and learn from one another. Coffee chats are included with registration and require sign-up at the time of registration. Seating is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registrants may choose one coffee chat discussion topic as attendance per topic is limited. This will maximize the opportunity for conference attendees to participate. Coffee Chat registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. ACES reserves the right to close Coffee Chat registration once capacity is reached in a particular topic.
ACES is looking for conference attendees to volunteer to be a coffee chat Table Host for the specific topic they sign up for. Table Hosts will receive a training prior to conference. Hosts will be responsible for welcoming everyone and stimulating discussion, if necessary, with questions supplied in advance by ACES. There is no special technical skill or software requirement. Every table of eight will need a Table Host. The registration form will have more details.
Coffee Chats will be hosted and run as live events and will not be recorded or available for future reference.
