Backed up my game and still lost all data!?

I was at level 30, backed up my data to  EA account AND Game Center for iOS. I was trying to fix a different bug (the game wouldn’t allow me to make a purchase) so I uninstalled and reinstalled. All data was lost. It asked if I would like to restore to my previous game (level 30) and it STILL started me back at level 1. Freaking out. Help!
