Superstar won’t start

I’ve been playing  superstar mode for a couple months now but today when I tried to start up my career today  it doesn’t work. I only have a running back and every time I try to enter the superstar mode with him I just get reverted back to the main menu. Dose this mean my file is corrupt or something? Is there a way to resolve the issue I’ve put in a lot of hour on this player and would hate to have to start over.
