Step inside Databricks' new Berlin HQ 👀 Not only did we interview Hayley Samuels from Databricks on our recent podcast, we also partnered the team in creating their fabulous new Berlin HQ! And... it's a cracker! Located on the top floor of Techspace Eiswerk with panoramic views of Berlin, this is one of the best examples of a thoughtfully designed space we've seen. Using insights from Techspace's utilisation reports, their own workplace analytics and team feedback, Hayley and team have really embraced a “pull, not push" philosophy... and in-office attendance would show it's paying off. 🤓 Simply beautiful throughout. With such high levels of interest in artificial intelligence and the future of AI across the globe, the Live-stream provided a 360-degree perspective on the application of AI, switching between a fireside chat and in-depth presentations. Time to be intentional! 🎯 The way we work and interact with the workplace has evolved dramatically over the past 24 months. Techspace members', Florence –who connect healthcare professionals and organisations with shifts and training– are a great example of a business embracing hybrid work, and at the same time maximising the value of an office. As business leaders look to right-size their workspaces, new challenges present themselves, and just like Caroline and Charles explain, teams need to be more intentional than ever to avoid the pitfalls. Our recent Scaleup Culture Report found that many companies adopting hybrid modes of working struggle to get alignment between teams. Responses in our special Operations Nation section indicated that many employees working in Hybrid Flex models get frustrated when offices are empty, however employees working in Hybrid Fixed models are similarly frustrated when offices are distracting on mandated days!
