  • Congratulations to Ralph Hayes, CEFL, Executive Director for the Dorchester Two Educational Foundation, on being the first SC education foundation leader to earn the Certified Education Foundation Leader designation! #TeamDorchester #DD2Strong Ralph is among just 98 professionals nationwide to receive this designation through the National Association of Education Foundations. NAEF develops and promotes best practices and advocacy for community investment into public education. Ralph also graduated from Together SC’s Carolina Leadership Seminars, which provides best practice and peer guidance in the nonprofit field. The Foundation has awarded more than $1.7 million to our schools in the past eight years.

  • Today our District leaders and Board members collaborated with community partners & experts in finance, construction, and the law to discuss a possible bond referendum, which would require DD2 Board approval. Together with Dorchester County Government administrators and Dorchester County Council, we are envisioning our shared future.   • Our Board meeting recognized DD2 excellence! #TeamDorchester #DD2Strong 🎉 Dorchester County Adult Education and Tonya Hall, College & Career Navigator, received state honors from South Carolina Association for Adult and Continuing Education! #TeamDorchester ⭐ The program earned the Workplace Literacy Award and English as A Second Language (ESL) Performance Award! ⭐ Tonya Hall is the College & Career Navigator of the Year! Ms. Hall received this distinction for her creativity and innovation in providing Career Development Services and Workforce Preparation Activities to ensure student success, and for advancing the profession. 🎉 DD2 celebrated School Board Recognition Month with “In It To Win It” signs from the South Carolina School Boards Association. 🎉 Board Member Justin Farnsworth received recognition from SCSBA for 10 years of Board service.

As our Professional Development team prepares to offer professional development from January 8-19 to all teachers to master Canva, they invited students to showcase their Canva skills.
