This week, the UK has celebrated #ArmedForcesWeek!   We’re proud to have a strong veterans and reserves community at Gleeds, and this week we have reflected on the valuable contributions they make to our organisation every day by sharing our stories with each other. The skills and experiences they bring make us a better business, and we’re committed to making sure Gleeds is an even better place for our Armed Forces community to grow their careers.   Last year, we were thrilled to be awarded the #ERSSGoldAward for our commitment to supporting this fantastic community. And this week David McDonagh from our Newcastle office in the UK was named a Finalist in the #BritishExForcesinBusinessAwards2024 for the Inspiration of the Year Award! 🏆   The British Ex-Forces in Business Awards is the largest global celebration of military veterans who have transitioned into second careers. The "Inspiration of the Year" category is for service leavers who have overcome challenges during their military service, transition to civilian life, or in their new career, to achieve success in business or inspire others. It also recognises veterans in business who have inspired others through their support, exceptional conduct, or perseverance.   We’re proud to support our Armed Forces this #ArmedForcesWeek and throughout the whole year.
