Your Comfort in Our Hands
About us
Hospice is a type of care and a philosophy of care that focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill patient’s symptoms. These symptoms can be physical, emotional, spiritual or social in nature. Hospice care is provided to people that have a limited life expectancy and choose comfort and relief from pain and other symptoms. From its inception, the mission of Holisticare Hospice has been to ensure that end-of-life care envelops the patient, their caregivers, and their families with spiritual and physical comfort. Forgoing curative treatment and opting for a palliative approach allows hospice care to be provided where the patient lives, surrounded by family and friends with the support of experienced healthcare professionals.

Did you know that over 8 billion people are living in the world today? China and India both have populations of over 1 billion. Followed by the United States with a population of over 333 million. Today, on World Population Day, we are celebrating life. Part of what keeps the world moving is people being born and people dying. It’s what makes up the circle of life. Hospice has the honor to get to help and comfort those at the end of their lives. https://lnkd.in/gVGxeT3U #WorldPopulationDay #CircleofLife #Hospice #Educate

What a beautiful day! ☀️🦅🩵 Holisticare Hospice and Brandywine Senior Living at Longwood teamed up to take Lorraine to Conowingo Dam, where she photographed a variety of birds, including bald eagles. Lorraine has a lifelong passion for bird photography and is a talented artist. The weather was perfect, the picnic lunch was delicious, and we met some wonderful people throughout the day. #Photography #BirdWatching #OurCareFamily

Losing a loved one is difficult, but losing a child is a pain no parent should ever face. July is Bereaved Parent Awareness Month. This month, take a moment to reach out to grieving parents, offering your support and kindness. Help them remember the precious memories and reassure them that their child's legacy endures because 'Love Lives On'.

With summer, comes many festivities. One of the big festive traditions in July we celebrate by shooting off fireworks. We want to share a few tips with you to help keep you and your loved ones safe. Firework Safety TIPS 1. Read and follow the directions. 2. Keep a bucket of water or hose close by. 3. A responsible adult should supervise all fireworks activities. 4. Only have one person shoot the fireworks. 5. Use eye protection when shooting fireworks. 6. Never point or throw fireworks at anyone. 7. Do not handle or relight a dud firework. Wait 30 minutes, soak them in water, and dispose of them properly.
