Position: Estimator/Business Development Specialist - Division 28 Access Control - Remote

Location: Indianapolis

Position Overview

The Estimator - Division 28 Access Control Specialist will play a key role in the growth and success of our company's Access Control division. This position will be responsible for estimating and bidding on projects related to Division 28 Access Control, primarily in the low voltage solutions and security solutions sector. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in business development and be able to identify and pursue strategic initiatives to expand our reach in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to accurately estimate the cost of Division 28 Access Control projects
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and bids for projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and competitive
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of bids and proposals
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic initiatives and networking events
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients and vendors to ensure company's access control solutions are top of mind
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in access control systems to provide innovative and competitive solutions to clients
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop and present proposals to potential clients
• Provide support and guidance to project managers during project execution
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an access control estimator
• Solid understanding of Division 28 Access Control and related systems, including cameras and low voltage solutions
• Strong business development skills and experience identifying and pursuing strategic initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
