Overview

DOT's budget, performance, and financial management activities are overseen by the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs, also known as the CFO’s office. The CFO’s office directs and coordinates all the development, execution, and oversight activities involving budget, performance, and finance for DOT's programs and staff offices. Evidence-Building Documents

DOT's evidence-building documents establish the Department's vision for the use of data, statistics, and evidence to inform decision making. DOT produces the Annual Evaluation Plan, Capacity Assessment, Evaluation Policy, and Learning Agenda in accordance with the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 (the Evidence Act).  Learn more about the DOT's evidence-building documents.
