Vermont Public programming is made possible by member support. Our primary source of funding — over half!— comes from more than 38,000 members making donations in all amounts. Contributions from individual listeners and viewers like you keep Vermont Public strong and independent, and are a vital source of funding for our programs.

Exclusive Member Events, Updates and Newsletters

The Journal

The Journal is a print newsletter mailed to Vermont Public members every other month, with upcoming program and event highlights and features on station-wide projects and stories of what your support makes possible.

The Transmitter

The Transmitter is our monthly e-newsletter landing in your inbox the first Tuesday of every month. It’s packed with updates, occasional prize drawings, and a peek behind the scenes at the station, ensuring you're always in the loop.

Events

Members will also receive special access to members-only events and early ticket sales for Vermont Public events throughout the year.

Digital Services

Vermont Public offers two amazing digital benefits to members who give at certain thresholds. If your giving level qualifies you for both Vermont Public Passport and NPR+ you can have access to each benefit, no need to choose!

Vermont Public Passport

Members who donate $60 or more a year or have a current monthly sustaining membership of $5 or more receive access to Vermont Public Passport. Watch your favorite PBS and Vermont Public shows on demand on your TV, phone, or tablet using the free PBS App. Passport additionally unlocks thousands of additional hours of PBS content for members.

NPR+

NPR+ provides Vermont Public members who donate $96 or more a year, or have a current monthly sustaining membership of $8 or more, perks including sponsor-free listening to many NPR podcasts along with bonus episodes and early access to select NPR podcasts. Standard listening experiences without perks remain free of charge to everyone.

Vermont Public Store Discounts

All members enjoy a 15% discount at the Vermont Public store! This is a one-time perk for one-time donors and an ongoing benefit for sustaining members. You should receive your discount code with your gift acknowledgement by email, or if you don’t receive emails from us, with your mailed gift acknowledgement. We'll also send out occasional extra discounts throughout the year.

Sustaining Member Benefits

If you're a sustaining member, you get all the benefits above, plus:

The opportunity to select a thank-you gift that falls within your current giving level once every twelve months. Reach out if you hear about a great thank you gift during one of our radio membership drives, or to view our complete list of gifts, please visit vermontpublic.org/gifts.
The ability to opt-in to all prize drawings during our membership drives. We'll send a list with all of the prize drawings we'll be offering during the drive and you can decide if you'd like to be included. Opt-in for the prize drawings you'd like, or sit them out if they don't interest you. The choice is now yours!

Tax Deductions

Vermont Public is a 501(C)(3) organization and your donation is deductible to the extent allowed by law, minus the fair market value of any thank-you gifts received in return. The acknowledgment you receive at the time of your donation may serve as your receipt for tax purposes. If you require a yearly summary of your donations, please let us know at membership@vermontpublic.org. Vermont Public’s Tax ID number is 85-2913577.
