Managers are powerful… but they're not superheroes. They can't be expected to be the sole arbiters of workplace wellbeing. Instead, a whole organization approach is needed to drive sustainable high performance. But how do you actually go about achieving that? Join our exclusive webinar series to equip yourself with insights to help you recognize the gaps in your current manager training programs. Then we’ll look at how to turn those findings into actions that drive real change across your whole workplace. (And if you can't make it on the day, don’t worry. We'll send you the recording.)

We all have that manager we’ll never forget — for better or worse Our relationship with our manager has a bigger impact on our mental health and wellbeing than that of our therapists, and even as much as our partners But most managers get little or no training. They're accidental bosses promoted based on technical skill rather than their ability to lead people So we hit the streets of London and New York to hear your stories — the good ones, the bad ones, and everything in between

How to be an ally to your LGBTQ+ colleagues during Pride month and beyond 🌈 8 tips from the wonderful Dr Anthony Newton 1️⃣ Educate yourself and others Read books, listen to podcasts, or follow LGBTQ+ influencers. 2️⃣ Don't expect to be perfect immediately Being an ally isn't about getting everything right, it's about listening, learning and supporting. We all get it wrong sometimes! 3️⃣ Put your pronouns in your email signature This helps create a safer space for everyone. 4️⃣ Find out about reporting processes at your work Make sure you know how to report inappropriate behavior if you ever need to. 5️⃣ Encourage senior leaders to be active champions Do what you can to get senior leaders vocally backing LGBTQ+ groups or initiatives. And if you are a leader, get involved! 6️⃣ Mind your business Don't ask probing or personal questions, but do give your colleagues space to share things voluntarily. 7️⃣ Step back and center the voices of LGBTQ+ people It's great to use your voice to support others. But there's a time to speak up, and a time to sit back and listen. ❓ What would you add to the list? Let us know in the comments

What does a good wellbeing strategy look like? 🪴🎧 Who better to answer this question than Steve Peralta himself. Co-founder of Unmind - the workplace wellbeing platform on a mission to create mentally healthy workplaces, where everyone can flourish. A clip from episode 5 of our recent Techspace Scaleup Culture Podcast 2024, where Steve talks about how businesses can adopt a more holistic approach to wellbeing in the workplace, as opposed to relying on mental health apps alone. Results are in from our latest scientific study 🔬 We wanted to understand whether our mental health training for leaders was really working, so we ran a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT). We recruited 300 leaders from the US and UK, from all different backgrounds, seniority levels and industries. They were split randomly into two groups: a trial group that completed the training, and a control group that didn't. We measured confidence, knowledge and proactive behaviours in both groups at the start of the trial, post-training, and three months later. What did we find? In the group that completed the training... 92% said the training will have a positive impact on their team 70% had greater confidence in addressing mental health 63% were more proactive about supporting their team's mental health Read more about the study at the blog in comments 👇
