🏳️🌈 We’re a people business 🏳️🌈 That means that we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcomed and has an opportunity to thrive. And what better way to celebrate that than with this joyful picture from our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. Winston, Gabriella, Torin and John are the founding members of Soben’s Visibility, Inclusivity, Community, and Education (VICE) Committee. As we close out this #Pride Month, they shared their four tips for how to be an ally in the workplace: 1️⃣ Educate yourself - this can be done by either researching via reputable sources online or talking to anyone you might know that’s willing to help you. 2️⃣ Provide a safe space - make sure that LGBT+ people around you know that you support them and provide a space for them to talk if that is something they need. 3️⃣ Active Listening - always make sure to actively listen as LGBT+ people talk to you. This is critical to understanding someone’s perspective. 4️⃣ Speak Up - if you see someone being oppressed in the workplace, you should either reach out to the victim or reach out to HR to report it.
