Navigator, serving Henry Ford College, Schoolcraft College, and Monroe County Community College
Taylor Dean is the Michigan Reconnect navigator for Henry Ford and Schoolcraft Community Colleges in Wayne County. She spent the last five years teaching high school English, serving as a mentor in the Virtual Program, and was the District Assessment Coordinator at DaVinci Schools. DaVinci is a K-12, charter district that serves at-risk youth in Jackson, Michigan.
Taylor has a passion for making education attainable for those coming from all walks of life. She works with students of all ages to provide the necessary supports and resources needed to excel in the classroom and on the job. Taylor is a first-generation college student who attended community college before transferring to a four-year institution. She is experienced in transferring college credits and navigating the process successfully. Taylor has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an English major, and English as a Second Language (ESL) minor. In 2021, Taylor completed a masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Central Michigan University.
