V’Lecea “V” Hunter

V’Lecea “V” Hunter is a Michigan Reconnect Navigator for Grand Rapids, West Shore, Montcalm, and Muskegon Community Colleges. While advocating for student success, V’Lecea is knowledgeable of the importance of college access and academic opportunities for all students. V has a Bachelor of Science in sociology and women and gender studies and a Master of Education in Student Affairs from Grand Valley State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Educational Leadership at Western Michigan University, and is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Aside from her professional and academic responsibilities, V’Lecea dedicates time as a motivational speaker, hoping to inspire students to strive for success and practitioners to promote success. She has spoken at several schools, community centers, churches, and youth programs in Detroit and Grand Rapids areas. She is originally from Detroit, Michigan and is passionate about advancing social development and academic achievement.
