Embodying this commitment is 陈萍君 Shirley Chen, one of the leaders from AECOM - Buildings + Places, who recently participated in three significant International Women's Day events, leveraging these platforms to celebrate and influence positive change. Shirley contributed to the WO-MEN CONNECT event by AIA Hong Kong and AECOM, where she discussed breaking boundaries alongside other industry leaders. On March 8, International Women’s Day, she inspired attendees at the Urban Land Institute Greater Bay Area's International Women's Day event with her speech on 'A Life Without Limits,' sharing her 20-year journey at AECOM. And today, she joins our in-house “Invest in Women. Invest in People” discussion forum as a panelist alongside admirable leaders and energetic young professionals across Asia. The panel shared their insights and experiences on how AECOM supports female talents with both equal and equitable professional development initiatives. Shirley shared, “Taking brave steps towards growth often involves overcoming difficulties. It is not a clear nor an easy path. It requires us to face and overcome various obstacles. 🌟 Excited to share insights from our recent event! 🌟 On March 8th, the ULI Greater Bay Area organized its annual Women's Leadership Deep Dialogue event. We were honored to host influential female leaders discussing strategies to drive inclusive, equal, and sustainable urban community development. A highlight was our guest speaker, Ms. 陈萍君 Shirley Chen, Vice President of Hong Kong Buildings + Places at AECOM, who shared her remarkable journey and insights into breaking barriers in the workplace. Her sharing was full of philosophy and humility, deeply touching the audience, sparking profound reflection, and presenting an extraordinary International Women's Day gift - a gift of life influencing life.
