Exciting news! The winners of the 2024 Nordics Proptech Innovation Challenge (#PIC) have been chosen - a big congratulations to winner Net Zero Build. Taking sustainable building certifications into the 21st century, Net Zero Build (created by Ludvig Klasman and Kristijan Jordanov) is a climate tech start-up developing a digital platform to help companies to effectively navigate #certification requirements and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders involved. With sustainable building certifications enhancing asset marketability and value for real estate investors, this area is a crucial focus for reducing Scope 3 #emissions. From waste-management to sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs, the platform aims to promote the benefits of these certifications in a cost-effective manner. Thank you to all of our jury members (Nadim Stub, Caroline Somers, Dan L.., Klaus Vesama, Ella Eskelinen, Magnus Svantegård, Erik Ihse, Sanna Puhakainen and Jesper Bork) and to our PIC Champion in the Nordic region Karoline Garder for participating in this event! They will advance later this year to the European final to pitch one final time against all European regional winners - follow ULI Denmark and ULI Sweden to hear the results as they are announced. #PIC

Our #PIC Nordics regional finalists met yesterday for the exciting Proptech Innovation Challenge final, making their pitches a final time to the jury of senior experts in real estate. We would like to congratulate all of our four finalists for their excellent pitches, which include: CLIMIFY - innovative building management solutions enhancing energy efficiency and indoor comfort with real-time monitoring and advanced analytics. FacadeGenius - a collaborative facade design platform empowering architects and engineers to design Net Zero buildings. Net Zero Build - a climate tech start-up developing a digital platform for green building certifications, helping real estate companies to efficiently navigate certification requirements. Terion APS - software made to optimise the energy consumption of commercial buildings, while allowing building owners to make money by supporting the grid. As a founder you are always pitching. Often it feels repetitive, for you and your (eye-rolling) loved ones .... But today's pitch is a little bit different! Terion has been selected to pitch in the Nordic finals of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Proptech Innovation Challenge 2024! What is ULI? It's the oldest and largest network of real estate and land use experts with over 48,000 members globally. Since 1936, ULI has been a beacon for advancing the industry through trusted research, education, and multidisciplinary forums. The Urban Land Institute PIC, organized by the Young Leaders initiative, seek game-changing innovations that enhance urban living across sectors like real estate, construction, and energy. This year’s challenge focuses on reducing Scope 3 emissions in the built environment—a mission close to our hearts at Terion. Our pitch will showcase how Terion’s AI powered technology addresses this challenge head-on, by limiting the upstream emissions associated with energy production and transportation and by reducing the carbon intensity of the energy consumed for building operations. We aim to minimise buildings carbon footprints while maximising efficiency. We’re honoured to be among the finalists and look forward to sharing our vision for a greener, more sustainable future with the Urban Land Institute community. There are just 2 days left until the ULI Nordics Proptech Innovation Challenge (#PIC) final 💡 This will be an exciting opportunity to hear some of the brightest Nordic #Proptech companies. The jury (Nadim Stub, Caroline Somers, Dan L., Klaus Vesama, Ella Eskelinen, Magnus Svantegård, Erik Ihse, Sanna Puhakainen and Jesper Bork) will assess the strength of the unique pitches according to the brief "How do we substantially reduce carbon emissions in the built environment?" The Nordic winner will be recognised at a regional and European level, gaining access to hundreds of real estate professionals in the ULI Europe network.
