ULI Tampa Bay's Executive Director, Lee Lowry, and Manager, Melissa Millour, attended Embarc Collective's Builder Series event ft. Joe Lopano, CEO of Tampa International Airport last night! They enjoyed hearing from Joe Lopano about his leadership at TPA for the past 13+ years and the upcoming projects at America's Favorite Airport. Some notable takeaways are 2% of construction costs are dedicated to public art, "airports are sexy" due to the amount of hugs and kisses per square foot, "communication is critical when people are worried," and there is an upcoming new terminal being built. We appreciate Joe's dedication to our Tampa Bay area and wish him a happy retirement! #ULITampaBay #TPA #EmbarcCollective #JoeLopano #BuilderSeries

Our friends at Tampa Arts Alliance (TAA) are doing great work to beautify and connect our community! TAA was integral in creating our Art in Place charettes this year, and we are grateful for the partnership. See more from TAA about their interactive maps of murals in Tampa, Vibrant Walls, below. "The Vibrant Walls Tampa mural map is growing. This project documents murals in Tampa and share stories of the creators beautifying our neighborhoods. As we take notice of the more than three hundred murals that surround us, more investment and curation will follow. Be sure to follow our socials and visit VibrantWallsTampa.com." #TampaArtsAlliance #ULITampaBay #VibrantWallsTampa

Our ULI Tampa Bay Placemaking Product Council met at Ulele last Wednesday for an exclusive tour led by Jeff H.! Our council members learned about 1905 Family Of Restaurants, the history of Princess Ulele and the Ulele Spring, and the restaurants’ placemaking efforts. Ulele crafts their own beer onsite, sources their ingredients locally, and gives back to the community and its employees. A special thank you to Jeff Houck for providing us with an incredible tour, a taste of Ulele’s tasty oysters and beverages, and for your hospitality!
