Thank you to Scott Pollack, Susan Connelly, and Jennifer Gilbert for this feature on housing attainability in our latest Sitelines newsletter: "Why Data Matters." "Decisions being made now will have a legacy beyond our lifetimes. They will affect the economy, jobs, and taxes. They should reflect who we aspire to be, yet they are being made in a continuing, historic context of exclusionary housing policies and zoning. And they are often made by people whose life experience has been very different than the people on those long [affordable housing] waiting lists." #housing #data #publicpolicy #affordablehousing https://lnkd.in/dAQ6NrK9

We had an incredible time yesterday at our walking tour, "Mystique Beyond Boston: Discovering Everett and Chelsea’s Urban Evolution," hosted by our Young Leaders Group. Our journey through the urban transformation of Everett and Chelsea was truly eye-opening. We explored key projects, including developments by Greystar: Mason - The Maxwell, Fairfield Residential: Vero and V2 Apartments, Post Road Residential, and Northwestern Mutual: The Pioneer. These visits highlighted the remarkable progress and potential of these evolving urban areas. A special thank you to our speakers: Matt Lattanzi, KC Horton, Karl Allen Andy Montelli, Zachary May , Robb Hewitt and Danielle Buoniconti. Your valuable insights into the development processes and future visions for these communities made the tour both informative and inspiring. Thank you to our sponsor Sullivan & Worcester LLP , for making this event possible. A big thank you to the Young Leaders Group (YLG) team: Dave Litwin , Catherine Sobchuk, PE , Christopher Nolfi , Ty Bieber , Janay Hull Joshua Dickens , Zakeem Pitter , Chen Li , Brendan Bettez , William Zordani , and Paola Villatoro for organizing and coordinating this successful tour, as well as selecting these incredible development projects to be featured. We look forward to more events like this that continue to showcase and support urban development and innovation! #ULIBoston #UrbanDevelopment #Everett #Chelsea #YoungLeadersGroup
