Last week marked a special occasion as graduates from the 2019, 2021, and 2024 cohorts of the ULI Center for Leadership program gathered for the first ever CFL reunion. #WhyULI Please meet New Member Roquelle G. Bradford, Esq., Associate at Coleman Talley LLP! In this series, we get to know some of the ULI North Florida members and hear a little about why they joined ULI and what they get out of their membership! Q: Tell us about you and what you do. I'm an Augusta, Georgia native who has called Jacksonville, Florida home for nearly a decade. As a real estate attorney, I represent commercial real estate developers specializing in affordable housing and LIHTC transactions to create multifamily housing options for low-income individuals, families, and the elderly population. Q: Why did you join ULI and what are you most excited for in the future? A few years back, I started meeting people involved with ULI and learned about the great work they do. The more I found out, the more I wanted to be a part of the organization. ULI's mission and commitment to creating equitable and sustainable communities resonated deeply, as did the caliber of its diverse real estate professionals across all facets of the industry. I joined because I want to be surrounded by passionate like-minded individuals working towards this common goal. ULI's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion also hit home, as bridging gaps and increasing awareness are fundamental to serving communities equitably. I'm excited to advocate for affordable housing solutions as an active member, effecting positive change through collaborative leadership on these critical challenges. Q: What do you like to do outside of work and volunteering? When I'm not working, you can usually find me and my husband exploring the world one snorkel or scuba trip at a time. The Report for the Clay County Blanding Boulevard Corridor Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) is now available online! Read the Report Here: https://lnkd.in/eUd3zGt7 The ULI North Florida District Council assembled a group of accomplished ULI members who have expertise in real estate development, land planning and transportation, making for an intensive two-day workshop to address the challenges facing Blanding Boulevard. Read the Report to see the panel's recommendations and ideas for fostering revitalization, improving safety, concentrating development nodes, and thinking outside of the box. ULI North Florida is immensely grateful to our members who gave their time to serve as panelists for this TAP and to all who participated in the TAP as stakeholders, as well as to Clay County for organizing.
