Steps to Reset Your Password

If you lost or forgot your Walmart.com password, you can easily reset it using the following steps:

  1. Open the forgot password page or select Forgot password from the log in page.
  2. Select Send code.
  3. Check your email for the 6-digit code. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder.
    • This code expires after 30 minutes. If your code expired, you could request a new one using the steps above.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code and select Continue.
  5. Enter a new password you’ve never used before.
    • Your password must include:
      • Eight characters
      • Uppercase letters
      • Lowercase letters
      • At least one number/special character
  6. Select Create new password and sign in.

Steps to Change Your Password

  1. Log into your Walmart account on the app or website.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Select Personal info.
  4. Find the box labeled Password and select Edit.
  5. Enter your current password.
  6. Enter a new password you’ve never used before and select Save.

Choose How You Sign In

You have options for how you sign in to your Walmart.com account.

  1. Log into your Walmart account on the app or website.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Select Personal info.
  4. Choose from these options:
    • Password: Use a password each time you sign in.
    • Password-less: Have a one-time verification code sent to your phone or email instead of a password.
    • Two-Factor Authentication: Use a password plus have a one-time verification sent to your phone or email.

How to Troubleshoot

You Can’t Access Your Email Account

If you don’t have access to the email account linked to your Walmart.com account, you must create a new account.

You Didn’t Get a Verification Code

If you didn’t get an email with your code:

  • Check your spam/junk folder.
  • Check to make sure you’re entering the same email you used to sign up for your Walmart.com account.

Your New Password Isn’t Working

If you get a message saying you can’t use your new password, you may be trying to use the old one. Pick a new password.
