Walmart+ Billing and Payments

We offer Walmart+ free for the first 30 days. There are no charges for the first 30 days of the trial. Once the trial ends, we’ll renew your membership and charge you for the selected plan. See Walmart+ Membership for plans and pricing.

Walmart+ Payment Methods

You must use a credit/debit card or PayPal to sign up for Walmart+.

Updating Walmart+ Payment Method

To update your payment method:

  1. Sign into your account (if prompted).
  2. Select Walmart+.
  3. Select Manage Membership.
  4. Find the Payment method section
  5. Select Change to add or update the payment method.

Failed Payment Method Reminder

A few days before your free trial or billing cycle ends, we’ll check your payment method to see if we can use it. If there’s a problem, we’ll show you a message on the Walmart.com website and in the app that says:

Add a new payment method to keep access to your Walmart+ benefits.

You’ll need to change your payment method to prevent your Walmart+ membership from expiring.

Change Billing Date

You can change the billing date of your Walmart+ and InHome membership. If you change your Walmart+ billing date, your InHome billing date changes, too.

You can’t change your billing date:

  • During a trial period
  • Within 48 hours before your current billing date
  • If you've already updated it five times in a 12-month rolling period
  • If your InHome bill date is currently different from your Walmart+ membership bill date Check in Manage Membership to see your bill dates
  • If you have Paramount+ with Showtime through Walmart+

To Change Your Billing Date

  1. Go to your Account.
  2. Select Walmart+.
  3. Select Manage Membership.
  4. Select Change date.
  5. Select the date on the calendar.
  6. Select Continue.

Billing Date Change - Examples

Monthly Membership

  • Current billing date: 15th of the month
  • New billing date: 2nd of the month
  • The amount you'll pay on the 2nd (new date) will reflect the monthly cost plus the amount from the 15th (current date) to the 2nd (new date) of next month.
  • All bills after this change would be on the 2nd of the month unless you request a new date.
  • If you select a date from the 29th to the 31st, for months that do not have a date in that range, you will see a charge on the last day of that calendar month.

Annual Membership

  • Current billing date: January 15
  • New billing date: May 4
  • Choose a date up to 364 days ahead of the current billing date.
  • The amount you'll pay on May 4th will reflect the annual cost plus the amount for the days between the current billing date (January 15) and the new billing date (May 4).
  • All bills after this will be on May 4 unless you request a new date.

You can change your billing date up to five times in a 12-month rolling period if you are on a monthly or annual plan.

You can change your billing date on the Manage Membership page up to 48 hours before your upcoming billing date.

Pre-Authorization Charges

When we authorize a new membership payment method, your bank places an authorization hold on that amount to ensure there are enough funds to complete the transaction. This will show as pending in your account. Your bank will remove the pending charge and will post the actual membership charge on your billing date. This can take up to 10 business days.
