Undeliverable Order Options

Sometimes a driver can’t deliver an order and it has to be returned to the store. At some stores, when this happens you’ll have the chance to change your Delivery order to a Pickup order in the Walmart app. If this is available, you’ll get an email and a message in your Walmart.com account when the driver updates your order status.

Here’s how the update to your delivery works:

  1. The driver updates the order status and returns the order to the store.
  2. The store sends an email and an app notification with your available options:
    • Reschedule your order.
    • Convert your order to Pickup:
      • You can choose a timeslot within 24 hours.
    • Cancel your order.

If your order is converted to Pickup, the store will send an email and an app notification when your order is ready for Pickup. When your order is ready you’ll be able to check-in through the app.
